Welcome to week three of our art lessons for children with “a side” of my favorite art books! Mouse Paint ~ by Ellen Stoll Walsh is this weeks focus.

Why do I love this book? Without even trying, every page reinforces the primary colors & the children in my preschool art class learned quickly that they could make other colors ~ pure magic! The repetition of seeing the three primary colors stuck in their artist minds and viola … their introduction to the magical three!

Join as a paid subscriber for the full access to my 6 weeks of kids art projects, based off of children’s books. I would be thrilled to have you join in!

So what better way to learn than to get our little mice-y paws into our paints and make some colors just as the little mice did!

This art project is perfectly suited for artists as young as 18 months old. Whenever paint and children are involved, always stay close and supervise to avoid any messy disasters.
